Our father's will left properties to us which he obtained prior to marrage to new wife. The will lists new wife as owner of a life estate to the properties. New wife has listed a suit against us in Indiana Superior Court stating her interest in said real estate is not susceptible to division from our (Defendants') interest. The complaint states the real estate be sold at public sale and the net proceeds divided between Plaintiff and Defendants according to their respective interests after deducting costs and attorney fees. What actions do we have against this suit? Can the new wife who has a life estate force the sale of properties willed to us?

In my state she'd be laughed out of court! But I don't know what the rules are in Indiana, and Indiana may not be a life tenant favored state.
