What is the name of your state? Hawaii
My wife is severely ill. I've been thinking of possibly starting a charitable foundation to pay for her medical expenses. (kind of similar to what Clinton did for his legal expenses) I had in mind selling things as a fundraiser or giving gifts for donations of a certain dollar amount. But I hoped that as a charity the money would be tax free. Is something like this possible? How do I do it? What factors do I need to be aware of?
Thanks
