My grandfather died about 13 years ago and left life estate with his new wife. She then moved from the property and rented it out. she has remarried and lives in another town. I know this for a fact and have proof. The will did not state that she could not get married and loose life estate. But I thought that you had to live there to have life estate? The property becomes mine when she passes. I feel she should have to loose life estate. Do I have any recource on this.

A life estate means it is hers for her life, to live there, to rent, or lie fallow. If he wanted her to have something only as long as she lived there, he could have specified that.
