My ex-husband owes me back child support, but is willing to let my current husband adopt my youngest son if i write off the past due support and he will no longer have to pay support on the youngest son. Can this be Done ? My Other Son is 17 soon to be 18 and my youngest is 12, Yes my husband understands

Your husband can adopt him but it will not legally remove the arrears from your ex. Does your husband understand by adopting him all the ramifications? Also does your ex? You kept saying youngest son, is there other children involved and why just this one?

Dropping child support is a decision for the judge & prosecutor. It doesn't matter what mom & dad agree to.
