I was divorced in 1993,from my second husband. My divorce degree states i waived my rights to his life insurance and 401k.He died in 1999,And left me beneficiary of his life insurance and 401k.If he left me as beneficiary ,since 1993 i believe he wanted me to have it.his son is contesting this action.Do I have a chance of getting these benufits?

Bamby, you have a very good chance of receiving the pension and 401(k) money. Those assets pass by operation of law according to the beneficiary designation. I know that in NY, under facts very similar to the ones you state, the woman received the ex-husband's life insurance money despite the divorce decree which stated she had waived her right to the insurance money.
