I like to know is there a difference between a living trust and a living trust plus. The latter is supposed to be irrevocable. If one sets up a trust can lawsuit get to the asset in the trust. If for example I set up a trust for my son when I get divorced or I passed away will my spouse get the asset or any liability lawsuit.

Read the section on Asset Protection on FreeAdvice.com. The trust you are talking about nis an IRREVOCABLE living trust -- which means that not only is it a bbit harder to break it, but you can't change it -- often a big mistake.
