In summer 2002 I took a a very good job 150 miles from my primary home. Since my spouse has an excellent job she did not want to leave, I was forced to set up a second household rather than commute. Since it is job/career related, are my expenses of the second household tax deductable?

Only if the second job is a temporary assignment (1 year or less) or you work a second job new your old home. However, the mortgage interest & taxes on a second house are deductible in either case.
