What is the name of your state? Michigan...
Wife and i are looking at legal seperation. She also says she might file for bankrupcy...if we were legally seperated can any of her debtors come to me looking for payoff??? Does a legal seperation shield me from her bad debt??? Thanks

Are the two of you joint on any accounts? If you are, a legal separation or divorce isn't going to shield you from anything. If they are her debts then they can't come after you separated or not.
