What is the name of your state? California
I wrote last year regarding my husband's divorce in which his ex-wife was awarded 1/2 the 401K & other plans as part of the divorce settlement. I was told by I AM ALWAYS LIABLE that she lost her rights to it after 4 years due to statute of limitations in this state, since she hasn't gone after it. 4 years have passed and I have contacted some attorneys on the subject here in Kern County, but no one seems to think there is such a thing. Where can I find the law, or where can I find an attorney that can help? I doubt we could go to court and arbitrarily state "the statute of limitations has run out."
I AM ALWAYS LIABLE - are you out there?
