What is the name of your state? washington

I am planning on asking my husband for divorce. He's in the military and I'm not sure if I file here or the state we married in. I'm also not sure how to sit him down and tell him. That part scares me more then the others. Any advice on how to handle this would be great.

If you've met residency requirements, you file in Washington. His being military has nothing to do with it.

How to handle telling him? Geez. How about---

"Hit the road Jack, and don't ya come back no more, no more, no more, no more"
