offshore scams question

Has anybody heard of an outfit called the Marc Harris Organization an offshore "asset protection" outfit. My father in-law is retiring and will also be finalizing his parents estate (6 figures +). He wants to look into the offshore type of companies. I believe that most of these are scams. But he is the type that would pay somebody $75 to beat the gov out of $5. Aren't there legitimate companies in the US that can set up trusts or foundations or LLC's to protect assests? Any info you could share would be appreciated.

I never heard of this firm, but the danger is some of these paranoia feeders are scams that may be crooked and steal the money. There is no FDIC....
