What is the name of your state? Nebraska

After a recent heated arguement, and other verbal vollies in the past, my wife wanted me to move out of our home. I said no way, let's get counseling and work on our issues. I have a 16 year old son in the home I care about deeply, and do not want to leave. I tell me wife she can leave if she wants. She said no and filed for legal separation (claiming verbal abuse).

Questions: Can I fight a legal separation and if so, what are my chances of being able to stay in the home permanently (until she files for divorce if she does)? Can I continue to live in the home during this legal separation process, and how long can it take before a decision is made one way or the other?
