Hello, my friend is an executor of her grandmother's Will. Her mother (grandmother's daughter) had been on accounts with the grandmother - she has some accounts that state "right of survivorship" -do these go into the Estate or are they legally the moms? thank you for your help.

My response:
The accounts and the money in the accounts belong to your friend, because she "survived" the decedent. All she has to do is show the Bank a death certificate, and the Bank with then recognize your friend as the owner of the accounts.
