Need a copy of a will

My father passed 7 years ago. We were not close. He has 5 living children from different marriages. I have found that there is unclaimed property in the state of new york. In order to claim it I need info from his will. How do I obtain a copy of the will without knowing the lawyer's name. I contacted the probate court and there is no record of it there.

Are you sure there was a will? If there wasn't a will, you should be able to transfer the property through an intestate probate estate.
