My mother and an unrelated woman lived together for over 30 years and acquired all assets together. They drew up identical wills that would leave asset first to each other, then to be split equally by my "aunt's" sister and myself at the death of the remaining woman.

However, my mom died first and the sister of my aunt sold the house, threw out belongings and never contacted me. I spoke to her once on the phone and she said I had no rights, that everything belonged to her sister. A neighbor saw a will copy with handwritten, "I leave everything to my sister."

I live in California; the property was in Colorado. This sister person is (I believe) Illinois.

It's been over a year. Do I have any rights at this time? I do have copies of the original wills.
