My grandfather passsed away last month. My mother being his next of kin/ only child would like to recieve his important paperwork, photographs, watch, and tv. They are at his nieces house where he resided for a short period of time. We do not get along with her but would like his possessions. My mother should have these items!!! What do you suggest a registered letter. He had no will She is entitled to this stuff Right? Thanks for your advice.

Your mom can open up a probate estate, as executor and sole beneficiary. She can then get a court order telling them to turn over property of your grandfather.
