My father died Aug.9, 2000 and the deed to his property was still in his name solely. I am paying off his outstanding debts and which don't amount to much. I have hired a attorney but was wondering if someone could tell me how I will be able to get this land in my name and if I will have to pay inheritance tax doing so?
