Hello everyone, does anyone know what the regulations are for adopting some internationals who are in US already. There are two students here who we want to adopt, they are 23 and 24 years old, we are both US citizens... how can that be done? how long it takes? Any information will be greatly appreciated because we do not even know where to start. Thank you in advance!

You're trying to adopt people who are 23 and 24 years old? I don't think you can adopt an adult. What's the point anyhow?

You are incorrect.

Could be a number of reasons. Many people do it so that, upon the adoptive "parent"'s death, the chances of problems with the will and/or probate would decrease.
