What is the name of your state? tennessee

my cousin was arrested 2 months ago, at his job, not served with a warrant. he was given an indictment, 2 weeks later. the jail that he was taken to kept him in isolation for 20 days and didn't get appointed a lawyer until 30 days after he was taken in, which was also on his first court appearance. after giving him the indictment, he was then told it was a capis charge - failure to appear in court - nothing was mentioned about the indictment. then it was told to him that they had evidence on him selling 3 rocks of crack cocaine. now it being 2 months later and just having a second court date, with only given another court date, they say they have evidence on one of the rocks. they are unable to locate any of his paperwork from 2001 which is when the charges are from, haven't shown any evidence, appointed a d.a. after his 1st court appearance, no warrant, isolation for 20 days, my question is this all legal? since he hasn't been in trouble since in convicted of a felony since 1999, was arrested on his job is there any luck he might be able to get out of this? what are the possible sentences he might be given? and what can you do when you have no money for a lawyer, besides a d.a. ? and does he have the right for a speedy trial?

If he hasn't been convicted of a felony sence 1999, go for the speedy trial to get his ass back where it belongs.
