What is the name of your state? illinois
husband was divorced in wis. and paid child support to wis. account in wis. was closed two years ago children are grown. ex lives in florida. florida has siezed our return saying husband owes fla 5000 in back support. irs claims they can do nothing, fla. refuses to return our money. is there anything we can do? we have tried contacting congressman, state legislature to no avail. what rights do we have? is fla. legally able to do this?

Hire a Florida child support attorney to find out why FL thinks you owe support, when the order was filed, whether you were notified, if the order was running concurrently with the WI order (indicating that FL did not have jurisdiction to enter a support order), etc.
