What is the name of your state? Minnesota

We bought a trailer home in 1994 and have now found out that there were back taxes due on the house before the trailer court sold the house to us. Since the back taxes were due from the previous owner it is our understanding that the house could not have been sold to us. Is that true? Do we have to pay those taxes? Or any that have occurred since that point? Or do we have the right to sue the trailer court for the money we invested in the house plus the interest paid on the loan back if the sale was invalid?
