Help!! Pub Defender doesn't believe NOT guilty!

What is the name of your state? Georgia

How do I go about getting a new public defender? The one I currently have has offered no assurances, good or bad. Just what the DA is offering. I am NOT guilty of the charges, the ONLY evidence, a recorded phone conversation, has NOTHING to do with the arrest. I was arrested OUTSIDE of the vehicle, NOT the driver and NOTHING was found on MY person. I honestly believe, if I could afford to hire an attorney, the case already would have been dismissed. Any advise, PLEASE! Thank you!!!

IF you are truly not guilty, you may do better defending yourself. Go to the law library and read everything you can find that pertains to your case. Learn everything you can about the things that would make someone guilty of what you are charged with. Once you KNOW they can't beat you, you are ready.

so there was drugs in the car but the driver was not arrested.

Hmmmm maybe the driver was an undercover cop.
