What is the name of your state? California
My pension plan will be taken over by the PBGC in Sept. (Bethlehem Steel) , in my filling papers there is brochure on the new fed. tax credit for health insurance for people like me.
I pay out of my own pocket $275 a month for health ins. taken out of my state pers benefit for another pension that I get from another employer. My question is would I eligible for the 65% federal tax credit or rebate? TIA, Bucksp

You may be eligible. Contact the pension administrator and request a Form 8887 (stating that you lost your job due to a free trade agreemnet). Once you have it, you can file Form 8885 & claim the credit. You'll need to amend your tax return (Form 1040X).
