In 1995 I was living with a man and we had a child together. He moved out seven months after our son was born. He was listed as the father on the birth certificate. I have never attempted to get child support from this man; nor has he tried to seek visitation.
What can I do to take away his parental rights and how hard and long of a process is it?
My son was also given his father's surname.
What about changing his last name to my last name. Is it hard to accomplish?
