My ex wife and I were legally seperated prior to divorce. I reside in Maryland and she lives in CT. She nor my child have ever lived in MD. I wanted a divorce from her so bad that I filed in MD. They siad that since neither one resided in MD that MD court had no jurisdiction in the matter. On the divorce decree it says that the child remains with her and she is found to be fit. Recently she has denied me any visits with my child. I have contacted an attorney who seems to be giving me the runaround. Based on this divorce does she automatically have sole custody? Am I within my rights to visit? Help she is stressing me out.
