Can you tell me,How long a deadbeat father can stay on welfare, And get away with paying the support my child should get if this man was workng, its been 0ver 5 years now,all he has to pay is $12.50 a month,My child was getting $75 a week when his father worked and when he paid it,How do I get this back to court? When he still gets welfare, Why won't the laws help my child? Iam very upset with the laws in NY, The laws seem to always help the deadbeat and not the children,This man is getting welfare because he is depressed, and he goes to mental health,I can do the same thing he did and get welfare, but what kind of life would my child have had,Im sorry for going on like this but Im really upset,I've been fighting this to long.

Thank You

dear doreen i know how you feel!!! unless you get a lawyer you can't get anywhere in court. sounds like you have a selfish ex that doesn't want to help make a better life for his child. i am in the same boat. the laws in tx are no better.after five years the AG is threatening to take his license haha!! all you can do is pray and believe in karma. good luck!
