We have 4 vehicles that will need to be divided at the time of divorce. I was checking the blue book values on the internet & they are figured both by Retail value & Trade-In value which were extremely varied. In dividing of property in divorce (Kansas) do they go by the Trade-In or Retail value. Two were owned prior to marriage & two after, but he wants 3 of them & I want to know how much I should expect him to pay for the one I owned prior. Can anyone help? Thanks.

What could you sell them for in the newspaper? What do similar cars sell for? That's what they're worth.

You can get near retail if the car is in nice shape and clean; a little less if it's not. If it has exceptionally low miles, you can get above retail. Try http://www.kbb.com and http://www.edmunds.com for quotes.
