We were told by their case worker that the two boys we adopted in 1997 were family adaptable and would come around to care and love. We were not provided medical records or recent imunizations, and were given a time frame in which to adopt or they'd be taken away (we were doing foster care at the time). So we adopted and years later we find that they aren't and never will be family adaptable. They are both FAS and FAE and moderatly retarded (they had them classified as mildly retarded and ADHD) They were hard to place children which we did not know, and had been on the adoption roles for years. Shortly after their case worker retired. We are still fighting for some kind of help and their DDD services case worker is denying even more medical records! Do we have a law suit? With who? Thank you for your time!!
