What is the name of your state? Connecticut

We adopted our sons at birth in 1993. We were living in GA at the time, and the adoption was finalized there.

We moved to CT in 1995. Someone (not attorney) recently told me I have to "file" my adoption with the state of Connecticut.

Thanks for your help.

So long as the adoption was finalized, you don't need to file it.

But, of course, you should always have the court papers in your own possession.

Yes, the adoption was finalized using a licensed attorney who specializes in adoption. I was not taking any chances - I adopted triplets!!! (one child passed away shortly afterwards)

Thanks for your quick response.
