adoptee trying to obtain birth records

What is the name of your state? new york. how do i as an adoptee obtain an original birth certificate and have adoption records unsealed?

adopted when they were minors. Alaska, Alabama, Kansas, and Oregon have open records now.

And EXACTLY how is that supposed to help someone who is NOT in " Alaska, Alabama, Kansas, or Oregon"??
