What is the name of your state? Washington

Does the judge prepare f.o.f. and/or c.o.l following a jury trial,?

based on the entire record as a whole?

Or are f.o.f. and c.o.l. normally only prepared following an evidentiary hearing and ruling/order or bench trial?

thanks kblow

FOF & CL are prepared by the winning party after prelim hearing of some sort. The court reviews them & signs them. The only time juries enter findings of fact other than 'guilty' or 'not guilty'is if the jury instructions include special interrogatories such as, "Do you find that the def was armed with a deadly weapon?" or "Do you find that the def committed the offense in an effort to conceal another offense?"
