Hi there,

I am a French national owning a company in France. I now reside in California and work as an independent contractor, still operating my company in France. Company "XXX France" which is the subsidiary of "XXX Inc." has been a long time client of my French company. "XXX inc." is now a client too in the US, and wants me to sign a contract. The contract refers to "XXX Inc.". Does it also cover my business relationship with "XXX France"?

Thank you for your answer.

Hi HomeGuru,

This business has nothing to do with porn. "XXX" is just used instead of the real company name.

The contract is governed by the laws of California.

The point is: When a contract mentions a US company, does that also oversee its foreign subsidiaries?

Thank you,
