Hi,
My friend is involved with a distributor and their product is mostly sold on the internet.
His distributor has told him that he CANNOT advertise a price on his website that is below what he (the distributor) has set...but he can SELL it for whatever he wants. It seems like price setting to me but I'm not sure. If he can't show what he is willing to sell the product for what difference does the internet advertised price matter? They also told him that this is called MAP (minimun advertised price) and is legal.
What do you think?
Thanks, Rick
