What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania

We are struggling with several questions about our homeschooling group. We hold "enrichment days" where the parents in our group pay for classes. Currently this money is in an account with three people's names on it. Our annual gross income is well under the $25,000/year nonprofit reporting threshold.

1) Is the revenue (the pooled money from parents) in the enrichment account considered personal, taxable income to the signers?
2) We have an EIN but are not officially licensed or incorporated in any other way. If we open a bank account under the EIN, how would the IRS view the money?
3) How is our organization viewed legally? I believe that one of the members filed for an assumed business name so that no one else would take our name, and we got an EIN so we could open an bank account, but that's the extent of it.

Thank you!
