What is the name of your state? Texas

I have a seven year old judgment I havent taken any action against it as yet. Do I have to file for renewal of judgment first in order to enforce a writ of garnishment on that seven year old judgment? If so how would I file for a renwal of judgment? Thanks

A Texas judgment is valid for 10 years and if not renewed (for another 10), it then goes dormant for the next two years (11 and 12). It can be 'revived' from its dormancy by Writ of Scire Facias. If it is not refreshed or renewed within 12 years, it dies and cannot be enforced.
