What is the name of your state? Calif

Does person named as probate co-executor need to have no crimmal record every, or it does not matter?
i.e. Sister, co-executor was convicted of a federal offense over 20 years ago?

My response:

Any person can be named "Executor". But, that title and job must be confirmed through Probate. Then, if the criminal starts doing anything "off color" with the Estate, then a Petition can be filed to have her removed - - if it's warranted.
