What is the name of your state? Virginia.
Our church is soliciting pledges for a building fund. We are providing that the pledge can be paid over a three-year period. There are individuals in the church who desire to give a large amount; some of them are elderly. If they desire their estates to be bound by the pledge, is it possible to do this through the written pledge? And if so, what type of wording would be necessary?

What you are asking CAN be done, but to make sure it is done absolutely correctly and legally, it would be best to pay for the services of a probate attorney with some estate planning experience.
