I'm in Oregon and am wondering if it is legal for my ex wife to be using my name. For example she fills out forms and documents as Ms. John Doe instead of Ms. Jane Doe.

We get this question all the time.

As much as it sticks in your craw, she can call herself anything she wants. There's no law against her using a masculine first name, and the marital surname - - if she wants.

Apparently, she's having trouble letting go.
