texas. as an independent contractor are there any restrictions on advertising yourself. could i have a website advertising myself and directing them to my location.

the website is under the name of my future business. is this appropriate?

Unless this activity was prohibited by any provision of your independent contractor agreement, what you describe should be okay..... as long as it is NOT done to, with or on your 'employers' property.
