What is the name of your state? I live in Colorado. I would like to find out what kind of business can own other businesses and still protect the owner (me) from liability? I know business like Citi Group own other businesses, but can a one person "business" own several independent companies? And still be protected personally? If this can be done on a small scale such as I have in mind what would I need to do next to get started? What kind of forms would I need to fill out and what kind of Lawyer would I have to hire?
