I am the president of an S corporation in New York State.

The vice president of the company has started another S corporation in New York State.

The company I am the president of does web design, hosting, and an assortment of other website needs.

The vice president started the second S Corporation for the purpose of selling audio and video supplies.

The newest company's name is One Visit Media, Inc.

Is there an easy way to merge these two companies? The merged company would be One Visit Media, Inc. Given the vastness of the word media we thought that we could perform both services under one name. Is this possible? Could it cause a nightmare with the IRS or the state?

If we are unable to merge, the vice president has decided to resign from the web design company. Is there paperwork that must be filled out notifying the state of the change in officers?

Thank you in advance.
