Washington:

Is it legal for me to install a video surveillance system in our community livingroom for the purpose of detering my roommate/landlord from assaulting me, or for gathering evidence to the fact, even though he owns the house? I am unable to move out as I have no place to go and no money to get there and I am disabled. Any advice at all will be welcomed. I am in the procees of filing for a protection order, but I fear it may make matters worse. Thank you.
