What is the name of your state? California

I would like to perform an audit on a former employer's finances.

A GREAT program in my State (and others?) referred me to an attorney for a low-cost consultation.

We decided small claims was the way to go, and to conduct an audit once subpoena was issued.

Since this is going through small claims, I failed to retain the attorney's services, and I can find no information on how to conduct an audit~ all I get is IRS and other unrelated stuff from "Google", and believe me; I've been hacking away at this for awhile.

My former employer is a 501(c) non-profit...dunno if this helps any, but I've heard that non-profits generally have to yield to an audit. (?)

Thank you!

-Jessica.
