What is the name of your state? IL

What are the repricussion of allowing my LLC to dissolve involuntarily.

This business no longer exists and there is a penalty fee out there for not filing my annual report which would have been zero. If i dont pay the penalty fee, the state will involuntarily dissolve my LLC. I would like to dissolve it myself so thats not the issue. Are there any repercussions for allowing this to happen? Will it effect my other current articles of incorporations and future businesses? I'm asking b/c it's cheaper to dissolve it involuntarily then voluntarily. But i dont want it to come back and bite me in the butt.

Thank you.
