question about reporting to CPS

If someone reported someone else for child abuse to Child Protective Services, can the suspected abusers get the reporters name and stuff? Thanks

My response:

Sure. If the investigation culminates into a hearing, or other court case, then the "accused" has a right to "confront" their accuser - - to determine veracity and motivation.

sorry let me clarify, not if it goes to trial but anytime before hand. can a lawyer get the accusers name while it is still pending in a CPS file being investigated.
