What is the name of your state? Texas I won a default judgement in my small claims case b/c the defendent and her lawyer no-showed for the trial. They filed an appeal but have not asked for a court date. I was told either they or I could ask for a court date. What happens if neither of us do? Does the case languish in some sort of black hole forever ? Thanks for your help!

*** See below.

"Does the case languish in some sort of black hole forever ?"
*** Yep, or until the court dismisses it for lack of prosecution.

If the case is dismissed for lack of prosecution, does the original verdict stand? (The one that was appealed) Thanks!
