Slander

What is the name of your state? Florida
July 1999 served because we were three months behind on our mortgage. no additional payments were made. April 2000 signed a stipulation that stated we were to make our regular payments plus 698.00 each month for one year April 2001 we made our last double payment. May 2001 we were served again stating we were in breach of contract. Continued making our monthly payments in June of 2002 we went in front of the judge the bank attorney admitted they were at fault but needed time because they lost several of our checks the judge granted his request g. We have copies of all the bank checks and proof that the mortgage company recieved them. The mortgage company in response to a complaint we filed told a goverment agency (OTS) that we were seriously in default which we are not can we sue for slander?
