What is the name of your state? Missouri
I received an out of court settlement for pregnacy discrimination and have been told than I will have to pay both fed taxes and social security taxes on this amont becuase it was reported to me on a 1099Misc form as nonemployee compensation. Is this true.
Please help!

**A: it is true due to the 1099 reporting as income.
