Someone please help me. My mom had a lein on our house that my father had placed for 50,000$ several years ago and we got a call from sheriff today saying he was enforcing the judgement. What can we do?! Im so lost.

My response:

Apparently, nothing. Your father appears to want his money, and is now enforcing the judgment by having the house "lien sold". Your Mom either needs to refinance the house in order to pay off the lien, or she needs to pack her bags. One or the other.
