I have a child without my last name on the birth certificate and I didn't have any say so in it. Shouldn't I have to sign something? Can it change my rights as a father?
If I'm not mistaken, it doesn't matter what last name the child is given. Is your name on the BC?? Did you sign paternity papers of any sort? If your name was not on the BC from the get go, I think paternity papers have to be signed in order to get your name on the BC. No matter what the last name of the child, you are still the father and you have every right as a father.
